Attendance Matters – Every Day Counts
Good attendance is vital to every child’s learning, wellbeing, and sense of belonging in school. New data from Tusla Education Support Services (TESS) shows that one in five children are missing a month or more of the school year. While non-attendance is improving, it remains higher than before the pandemic.
To help address this, TESS and the Department of Education have launched a national campaign reminding everyone that when a child can go to school, they should go to school.
