First, Second, Third, and Fourth Class students have joined forces again this year for their Buddy Reading sessions!
We spent time getting to know our new buddies, preparing for lots of fun and enjoyable reading together. These sessions are a wonderful way to build confidence, improve reading skills, and make new friends across the school community.
We can’t wait to see the friendships and love of reading grow throughout the year!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Friendship Week! We enjoyed making friendship bracelets with our buddies, completing a treasure hunt, creating a friendship wreath and engaging in activities that encouraged teamwork and cooperation. It was a great opportunity to make connections, develop social skills and highlight the importance of kindness and collaboration.

A huge thank you to Mr. Diffley for bringing in a real bee hive and giving our class a fascinating look at the world of bees! 🐝
The children learned all about what it takes to care for bees, from checking the hive to keeping the colony healthy — and even how honey is harvested. It was a sweet and educational experience that got everyone buzzing with curiosity! 🍯✨
We have visited the library a number of times this year. We love picking and reading new books.
We are getting hands on with our Maths this year. Thank you to Fifth and Sixth Class for creating Maths games to play with our class for Maths Week.
Our 1st to 6th Class pupils are loving their weekly ukulele lessons with Music Generation! The ukulele is a small, four-stringed instrument that’s easy to learn and perfect for playing fun songs — it’s cheerful, portable, and brings instant smiles. 🎸✨
We’ve been practising chords, learning rhythms, and can’t wait to learn some new songs together in the coming weeks. The classrooms are full of music, laughter, and lots of eager little strummers! 🎶💛
1st and 2nd class have teamed up with 3rd and 4th class to do some buddy reading. Each week both classes take turns reading to each other. We look forward to our buddy reading each Wednesday.

As Part of EU Code Week We had a coding workshop. We learned all about coding blocks and even got to code our very own dance party. Take a look at the video to see what we got up to.
1st and 2nd class have been learning all about colours and light. We created our own colour wheels by mixing primary colours to make secondary colours. We also used a prism to make a rainbow from the sunlight shining into our classroom.
