At Ballygar N.S., we’ve been proud to run our Summer Camp whenever possible over the past few years, providing a joyful and supportive space for children to keep learning in fun, creative ways during the summer months.
This year’s 2025 theme, “Building Confidence and Connections,” shaped every aspect of camp life. Our school was filled with laughter, learning and creativity as participants came together to make new friends and enjoy a variety of hands-on experiences.
With a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, the camp offered engaging activities that made learning exciting and meaningful. From cracking codes in a literacy escape room and calculating scores in cooperative games, to measuring ingredients during baking and exploring probability through card games, every session supported essential skills through playful learning.
Campers explored language through music, art, drama and storytelling, while numeracy came to life with STEM challenges, real-world maths tasks and outdoor investigations. Throughout it all, our theme helped each participant feel valued, capable and supported.
The result was a fantastic celebration of learning, wellbeing and teamwork — and we’re so proud of the fun and growth that took place along the way!
